In this context, Huurre Ibérica has developed an innovative solution: the EI 90 fire-resistant HI-QuadCore 2.0 FK DUAL sandwich panel, which meets the sector’s growing demands for thermal insulation and fire performance, without compromising on environmental commitment.

The HI-QuadCore 2.0 FK DUAL sandwich panel with EI 90 fire resistance combines cutting-edge organic insulation, optimising thermal efficiency, with a lambda conductivity of just 0.019 W/mK. This panel provides compartmentalisation for buildings, achieving a rating of up to 90 minutes of insulation and integrity (EI 90) for panel thicknesses of 200 mm, without the need for additional silicone on the joint between panels, which facilitates installation and improves the overall performance of the system.

In addition, the design of the longitudinal joint has been improved on the basis of its predecessor, the HI-F cold storage panel, which enhances its long-term performance and efficiency.

Commitment to the environment

One of the greatest challenges in modern construction is reducing CO2 emissions. Huurre emphasises that the building stock contributes to CO2 emissions in a similar way to the automotive industry, in both the residential and industrial sectors. The HI-QuadCore 2.0 FK DUAL panel is manufactured in such a way that both the steel and its metallic and organic coatings are free from SVHCs (‘Substances of Very High Concern’), in accordance with the requirements of the European REACH regulation.
