Huurre secures new FM Approvals certifications for its range of QuadCore core panels

At Huurre, we are pleased to announce that we have obtained new FM Approvals certifications for the HI-QuadCore 2.0 AWP, HI-QuadCore 2.0 FK and HI-QuadCore 2.0 F panels – a milestone that reinforces our commitment to regulatory compliance, product quality and safety in the design of industrial cladding solutions.

HI-QuadCore 2.0 AWP architectural façade panel

The HI-QuadCore 2.0 AWP façade panel has obtained the following certifications:

  • – FM 4880 – Fire spread assessment for insulating panels for interior walls and ceilings.
  • – FM 4881 – Fire performance assessment for external wall systems.
  • – FM 4882 – Smoke performance assessment for wall and ceiling systems intended for smoke-sensitive occupancies.

These certifications indicate that the product has been assessed in accordance with FM Approvals’ standards for use in specific industrial applications, in line with the criteria defined in those standards.

HI‑QuadCore 2.0 F and HI‑QuadCore 2.0 FK panels

Furthermore, the HI‑QuadCore 2.0 F and HI‑QuadCore 2.0 FK panels have obtained the following certifications:

  • – FM 4880
  • – FM 4881
  • – FM 4882

These approvals confirm that both products have been tested in accordance with the methods established by FM Approvals to assess their performance under specific fire-related conditions.

About FM 4880, 4881 and 4882

FM Approvals standards form part of a certification framework developed by FM Global, an international organisation specialising in industrial insurance and risk management, which assesses products through independent testing and manufacturing audits.

  • FM 4880: this is the base standard for insulation boards and finishing materials, which assesses their contribution to fire development through full-scale tests, analysing aspects such as fire spread, heat release and the stability of the insulating core under high temperatures.

  • FM 4881: this focuses on façade systems and external walls. It extends the requirements of FM 4880 by incorporating additional assessments relating to outdoor conditions, including performance in the face of severe weather conditions such as wind or hail.

  • FM 4882: is designed for smoke-sensitive environments (e.g. the pharmaceutical or food industries) and incorporates specific requirements to limit smoke generation and density in the event of a fire, whilst also maintaining the fire performance requirements set out in FM 4880.

These standards define specific test methods and assessment criteria under controlled conditions. Certification is granted when the product meets these requirements within the established test context.

Focus on compliance and independent assessment

FM Approvals certifications are the result of tests and assessments carried out by an independent body, based on technical criteria defined for systems intended for specific applications. Obtaining these certifications demonstrates that the assessed systems comply with the requirements of the relevant FM standards under the specified test conditions.

It is important to note that the suitability of any system depends on its correct application, design and installation, as well as compliance with applicable local regulations.

QuadCore insulation technology

The range of panels with a QuadCore insulating core has been developed with the aim of offering a balance between thermal performance, mechanical performance and fire behaviour, in line with the requirements of various industrial sectors.

Ongoing commitment

At Huurre, we continue to work on developing solutions that meet the market’s technical and regulatory requirements, supporting our customers in selecting the right systems for their projects.
